Clubs are able to apply for up to $50,000 in funding through the program for facility projects and up to $10,000 for participation initiatives.
In order to secure funding, clubs must showcase how the project would increase on-going participation in sport and/or address barriers to sporting participation for members of the community.
Sporting organisations are also required to commit 50 per cent of the total project funding and
this can include voluntary labour, donated materials and/or equipment or other resources.
"The Sport and Recreation Participation and Facility Program aims to increase regular
and ongoing participation opportunities in sport and recreation," member for Monaro John Barilaro said.
"I urge all sporting organisations in the Monaro region to take the opportunity to apply for this round of grants.
"Now is the time to start putting your application together and really having a think about what your club or association needs."
Round one of the grant program closed last September with applications for the second round of grants to be accepted from January 21.
Applications for the program will close on February 26, 2013. Organisations may apply for multiple projects however, the maximum available funding to any one team or club is $50,000.
