Central Cafe damaged in storm

THE iconic Central Cafe on Monaro Street has been forced to close due to rain damage, a casualty of the Australia Day storm that dumped around 75 millimeters of rain on Queanbeyan in an hour.

Riverside Plaza centre manager Virginia Dobos said “We are working hard to get the café up and running again as quick as possible.  Its amazing how many people have commented that they miss the Central Café’s  famous signature dishes  since the storm forced the closure of the café.”

The repairs to the café are expected to take at least another week, and the reopening date will be announced on both the Central  Café  and Riverside Plaza websites .
