POLICE are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a service station in Queanbeyan this morning.

About 5am this morning a man entered the Caltex service station on Lanyon Drive, armed with a firearm.
He threatened a 33-year-old male employee and demanded cash. The employee took some cash from the till and placed it on the counter. The man grabbed the money and walked from the store.
He has been described as being of Maori/Pacific Islander appearance, 35 to 40 years of age, black hair, 183cm tall, with dark-coloured eyes. He was wearing a black baseball cap, long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
