Owner Alfred Bonansea said Valentine's Day is their busiest day and staff have been run off their feet preparing for it.
"We have a lot of flowers coming in and a lot of flowers going out. We're replenishing the shop and retail has been very busy. We sell probably four or five times our normal amount of flowers," he said.
"We have extra drivers on today, it's going to be hectic here in the shop and hectic out there on the road."
Mr Bonansea said the perennial favourite red roses were the most popular with one gentleman ordering 500 stems for his sweetheart.
"The most popular obviously are red roses but you don't have to buy 50 stems," he said. "You can buy a mixed bouquet with a few roses or you can go all out and buy three dozen. One fellow wants 500 roses."
A growing trend has been many women reciprocating the gesture and sending flowers to their partner. Mr Bonansea said the spilt is about 70-30.
