The Queanbeyan Whites contracted scrum half for the Brumbies last Saturday against the NSW Waratahs at Canberra Stadium, scoring a try and kicking two conversions and three penalty goals for a tally of 18 points.
His involvement in the ruck and scrum was also second to none, as he lead the Brumbies to forward dominance over the Waratahs.
And Larkham believes the 23-year old will show more prominently for the Wallabies at the end of the year.
"I think he's one of the best half backs in the world," said Lakham. "He gets more touches than anyone else playing half back, and identifies his mistakes and always strives to learn from them."
White has 10 test caps for the Wallabies, but has only started twice- during last year's European Spring Tour when Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie brought him in at the expense of an out-of-form Genia.
He had a slow start in the Brumbies' round one loss to the Queensland Reds, but has since torn oppositions apart.
After the Waratahs game, Brumbies Director of Rugby Laurie Fisher said White's short, sharp running and kicking was instrumental.
"He made some telling defensive work, his service and chase for the ball was exceptional, he kicked well, and his goal kicking was great," Fisher said.
Larkham also tributed White's knowledge of the game.
"You don't have to remind him about anything," he said. "Whitey's very knowledgable. His understanding of the game is top notch."
Local Queanbeyan teammate Robbie Coleman said it was special playing with White, as the two joined the Brumbies Academy at the same time.
