The sole Queanbeyan representative kicked a goal in the effort and had a strong defensive performance that saw him up against former Sydney Swans player Paul Bevan in the back line.

The Queanbeyan Tigers co-coach disallowed Bevan any chance to score in the match and said he was very proud in his efforts representing Queanbeyan solely in the game.

"I never got the opportunity to play an AFL game so it was good for me to see that I can still play that high level of football," Klemke said.

"I was happy with my game and this was a very high honour."

Klemke also said he would take any other chance to play for the side however his main focus was still concentrating on coaching the Tigers for the rest of the season.

"If my body is feeling well I would probably play it again," Klemke said.

"But at the moment, I want to see Queanbeyan have a good year this year."

Despite his strong performance, the NEAFL side lost convincingly 19.18.132 to 6.11.47 however Klemke said the fixture was worth it despite the team's lack of preparation.

"It was always going to be hard. We never got to train together," Klemke said.

"It would have been nice to have more time but I enjoyed it."

With this being the first time a NEAFL representative side had taken the field, Klemke praised the team as well as the coaches and hopes the side can achieve a win in their next clash against Tasmania in June.
