The region will be represented by the under 17s as well as an open team in the event which is home to 31 teams representing 71 associations across NSW.

Queanbeyan netball association president Rena Spears was excited at the prospect of having two teams in the biggest netball carnival in Australia.

"It's a very good experience for both of the teams," Spears said.

"This will greatly improve netball in Queanbeyan and be beneficial to all involved."

Both teams have been in stellar form in their respective State League divisions with both either winning or finishing runner up in all events.

The under 17s in particular has caught the attention of Spears who said they have been in superb form and have won the majority of lead up carnivals.

With both teams having good form in the lead up to the long weekend carnival, Spears is confident that both teams will do well.

"I think their chances are very high," she said.

"They would certainly finish in the top half anyway."

However the president has not put any pressure on them to perform and is only hoping for them to play at their best.

"We're going to be stronger than some but obviously some are going to be stronger than us," she said.

"I am hoping they do the best they can and improve."

With the Championships holding some the of the best netball associations across NSW, Spears' main goal is making sure the teams have fun and learn from this experience.

The three day carnival begins on Saturday 7 June and concludes on Monday 9 June.
