The students, ranging from years nine to 12, trained with the ACT Brumbies development team, who along with the Canberra Raiders, have helped sharpen up the students through sports skills clinics in rugby league and rugby union.
The 22 academy students also compete in the South Coast regional knock-out competitions in rugby league and rugby union, and with the help of the Queanbeyan Whites and Queanbeyan Kangaroos clubs, train and play against other high school teams, including Karabar, Yass, Monaro, Bega, Batemans Bay and Nowra.
