Crossley will take up a position within the skill acquisition technical coaching program in the Beijing Province.
He said he is looking forward to the position and is expecting a fairly smooth transition within the system.
"I'm going to enjoy being on the international football circuit," Crossley said.
"There will obviously be highs and lows with it but football is a global language so it should be a smooth transition."
At the moment the position is mainly for coaching and Crossley said there won't be any playing involved there.
Currently the position is based on a three month contract where he will then arrive back in Australia to honour a previous agreement however he has not ruled out a return in the future.
"It's three months coaching there and that's it," he said.
"We'll see what happens after the contract in Australia runs out."
This season also saw Crossley move from the Panthers to the Canberra Olympic outfit claiming less travel as the reason for the move.
Crossley said the less travel time to training has made things much easier for him this season.
"There's less pressure on myself with this role. I can turn up, go play and then go home so to speak," he said.
"I'm really enjoying it here because there is just a relaxed atmosphere around here."
With him being a key figure for the Panthers last season Crossley believes the side has looked good so far this season in his absence.
"They have looked like they have been doing alright," he said.
"I think there has been a couple of good wins there."
Crossley will commit to the Canberra Olympic after his stint in China but has not ruled out more international work.
Meanwhile in round nine of the Canberra Premier League, the Monaro Panthers went down to Belconnen United by a whopping 10-0.
In the Women's Premier League, the female Panthers suffered a shock second straight loss, going down 5-0 to ACTAS in round ten action.
