Phil, 28 and Emma, 27 were married at St Raphael's Church, Queanbeyan in front of 80 guests. The couple, who have close ties to the church, couldn't decide on just one priest and instead invited three to preside over the ceremony: Father Mark Croker, Father Peter Day and Father Mick Burke (who was unable to make it).
The choice of church was an easy one with both families sharing history with the beautiful church. Phil's mother was a long time organ player (now retired) and Emma's father previously a deacon.
Emma wore a strapless gown which featured crystal detailing below the bust, a design she had drawn when she was 16-year-old. She also opted for a bouquet of chocolates rather than traditional flowers.
The couple held their reception at the Hellenic Club, Woden. A close friend performed a personalised song penned for the newlyweds.
Their wedding cake was three pillow cakes with the colour scheme of red, purple and gold. The layers were varying flavours of milk, dark and white chocolate mud cake.
The couple were engaged at Wineglass Bay, Tasmania on October 18, 2012 after being together for 18 months. The couple met through mutual friends and Emma described it as "love at first sight".
Phil and Emma are both volunteers at the Queanbeyan Show and had to work their wedding date around the event to be later in the year. The newlyweds honeymooned for 14 days in New Zealand.
