Queanbeyan Police and local firefighters were called out to Hazelwood Street at about 3am on Saturday.
The White Holden Rodeo, which was registered to 25-year-old Queanbeyan woman, was “completely destroyed” by flames according to Queanbeyan Inspector Neil Grey.
“A witness, the car owner’s mother, awoke to the sound of a car alarm and looked outside the window to see the vehicle well alight,” Inspector Grey said.
“The cause of the fire is being investigated. We have no reason to think it is a targeted attack.”
