THE Queanbeyan Leagues Squash Club is staring down the barrel of a hat-trick of ACT first division autumn titles as it prepares to face off against Dickson in the grand final this Saturday.

The four man team features skipper Shane Gurney along with former Australian Institute of Sport player Jhie Gough, Oliver Brown and Leigh Bishop, who have won 92 individual games this season which has them second on the ladder.
Their upcoming opponent in Dickson finished on top of the competition and will prove hard to stop for the local men to complete their three-peat.
Gurney told The Queanbeyan Age after their penultimate round win against the Tuggeranong Vikings that his team had worked around some hurdles well to get to where they are this season.
"We actually had Troy Nordy from Bega before the season as well, but he injured his hamstring which put him out of the competition," said Gurney.
"My body hasn't pulled up too great either. I've had some back issues and have been taking pain killers before games."
Gough has proved to be one of the best players in the competition, leading it with 10 individual wins which helped his team break away from a deadlock with South Canberra who had fallen off par in the last three weeks.
"Jhie as a junior used to play in the junior professional circuit at the AIS, and he's trained with Anthony Ricketson who went on to be number one in the world," said Gurney.
While Gurney will leave placing his men in positions for when he knows who will line up for Dickson, he said Brown could be out due to a large study load.
"It looks like Leigh will take the reigns for Olly from here on. He's been a very good player in the last two grand finals," he said.
The Woden Squash Centre will host the grand final at 1pm.
