Dickinson moved to Brisbane at the start of the year, and had been flying back to Queanbeyan each week to play for the Tigers in the NEAFL.
While Dickinson admitted he had already made plans to depart the club before they withdrew from the NEAFL, he is the first senior player to leave the Tigers since the decision was made last month.
The 100 gamer said he could no longer make the commitment to his home club.
"I moved at the start of the year. I was travelling back to play for them this year, to get one last season out," he said.
Dickinson squeezed in his 100th and final game for the club two Saturdays ago, when the Tigers defeated Eastlake by 36 points.
The club's Rising Star from 2006 said that he wouldn not be retiring from football altogether, citing connections with Brisbane side the Aspley Hornets, as a place where he might continue his participation in the NEAFL.
"One of my mates plays for Aspley so I might go and have a chat to them to see if they can fit me in anywhere," he said.
"I haven't talked to anyone yet but that's the most likely team that I would end up at."
Ending ties with the club was not easy for the 25-year old, who played first grade for the Tigers since age 16.
"It's sad actually. Playing with your best mates doesn't happen very often, so it's devastating to leave," he said.
Dickinson was also part of the Tigers' 2012 Eastern Conference premiership winning side.
