The music of Joe Cocker will be brought to town when Doug Parkinson arrives at the Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre. Backed up by some of the finest vocals in the country, Parkinson will deliver a deluge of Cocker's greatest hits from 8pm. Tickets are $69 for concession and $79 for adults. Queanbeyan Evening Branch Country Women's Association will hold their next meeting at 7pm, at the Queanbeyan Ladies Bowls clubhouse, next to the tennis courts, Campbell Street. New members welcome. Please join us for dinner before the meeting at 6pm at the Queanbeyan Bowling Club in the club room across the road.
The CWA aims to improve conditions for country women and children. The Queanbeyan Market is held on the third Sunday of every month at Queanbeyan Park from 10am to 2pm.
The market brings together fresh produce, crafts, handmade goods, kids' activities and more, with a strong emphasis on supporting regional farmers, producers and local small business.

The Association of Australian Decorative & Fine Arts Societies are set to hold their August lecture at the Comfort Inn Airport International from 2pm.
International lecturer James Allan will deliver a lecture on on 'Isfahan and the History of Persian Tilework'. An entrance fee of $25 is required for non-members, with light refreshments to follow.

Daffodil Day is a national day of hope for Australians to show they care about beating cancer. Karabar Shopping Mall and Riverside Plaza are two of the 600 sites across NSW where volunteers will be selling Cancer Council pins and fresh daffodils.
This year, the Cancer Council hopes to raise $2.6 million in NSW alone for lifesaving cancer research, support services and prevention programs. Bungendore Woodworks Gallery will be hosting a concert at the cafe. Wanderlust will feature Miroslav Bukowsky on trumpet and flugelhorn, Jeremy Sawkins on guitar, Alister Spence on keyboards, Fabian Hevia on percussion, James Greening on trombone and Steve Elphick on bass.
