Police are appealing for information after a blue Holden Crewman utility was stolen from Carinya Street in Queanbeyan between 1.30pm Sunday, August 14, and 6.20am Monday, August 15.
The ute bears ACT number plates YDZ-50T.
Police assaulted
About 10.30pm on Sunday, August 14, police attended a residence at Linaria Place. A 45-year-old Queanbeyan woman became abusive towards officers and assaulted police while resisting arrest. She was arrested and charged. Police did not sustain serious injury from the attack.
Drink driving charge
About 10.10pm on Saturday, August 13, a 46-year-old ACT man was charged with low-range PCA when he was stopped for a breath test on Canberra Avenue.
Spike in theft from vehicles
Police are warning Queanbeyan residents to be more careful with their belongings, particularly in relation to thefts from motor vehicles. There has been a spike in these events recently, however by taking a few precautions, you can reduce the risk of becoming a target, police said.
Police are reminding people to ensure their vehicles are locked, not to leave property in plain view and to take all valuables out of their car. If possible, park your car off the street.
