A high profile police operation targeting the supply of illicit drugs and alcohol-related crime in the NSW alpine areas resulted in the arrest of 10 people.

Police seized cannabis, cocaine, MDMA, methyl amphetamine and Psilocybin mushrooms during the five-day campaign.
The operation saw police from the Monaro Target Action Group, assisted by Jindabyne police, seeking to disrupt the supply of illicit drugs to the area and address issues of anti-social behaviour.
Police conducted patrols of licensed premises as well as randomly screening vehicles as they entered Jindabyne with the assistance of Drug Detection Dogs.
As a result of the operation police arrested 10 people who were charged with nineteen offences.
During the Operation Police also breath tested in excess of 1000 vehicles and issued legal process for both licensing and street offences.
Detective Chief Inspector Grey said police would continue to address the issues despite the operation being over.
“I find it disappointing that there is a minority element that still seeks to ruin the alpine experience for those people travelling to the area to enjoy their holidays,” he said. .
