Community meetings were held in Braidwood and Captains Flat last week about the upcoming summer season for the eastern pools in Braidwood, Bungendore and Captains Flat. After input from the community, council resolved at its recent meeting to supply additional funding and extend the season for all three facilities. They will now be open from October 28 – February 28.
Council will be considering allowing flexibility of the opening hours to cater for different groups of users at the facilities, and officers will be consulting with respective communities to look at ways for providing flexibility in the opening hours.
Staff from Council will also be liaising with schools and swimming clubs who use the pools to look at access options outside of the normal opening hours so as to provide for their swimming programs
