The man, from Bonython in Canberra’s south, will face court on charges of malicious damage and trespassing.
Police said similar incidents have been happening across the ACT.
Police allege the man jumped a fence and gained entry to the Waniassa Street restaurant where staff were working, about 1.30am on Thursday, August 25.
He was accompanied by another male.
The man is alleged to have thrown a number of eggs throughout the restaurant before fleeing.
His accomplice filmed the incident and the man posted the images onto social media along with making a statement about his actions.
Queanbeyan Police investigated the incident and visited the man’s home in Canberra early on Friday morning, August 26.
He was issued with court attendance notices for the incident in Queanbeyan, and will appear in Queanbeyan Local Court in early October.
