Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, in conjunction with the NSW government Office of Sport, Sport and Recreation, are bringing the forum to Riverside Oval on Saturday, October 15 from 10am to 3pm.
“Everyone involved in organising sport will benefit from this Forum,” Sport and Recreation Development Officer, Paul Keemink said.
“I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to see the latest industry products and obtain the latest information from our expert guest presenters. This will assist in updating and streamlining governance practices and operational procedures as well as increasing the organisations effectiveness while saving valuable time.”
There will be four workshops running on the day as well as an expo of industry exhibitors.
This is an opportunity for sporting clubs and organisations to learn about the latest industry and compliance advancements.
Participants will improve their management skills, get ideas about best practices of running a sports club, as well as gaining insights into writing grant applications and using social media to enhance the profile of your club and sport.
The forum is ideal for committee members, administrators, coaches, industry providers and volunteers working in sporting clubs and organisations and will be a good opportunity to network with others in the industry.
The forum has been developed in response to an identified need for more training and advice on corporate governance practices and procedures for sporting organisations.
Enrolments are essential for the program and places are limited.
