Named Betsy, the craft beer has been specially brewed to taste great in the air as well as on the ground.
However if you want to try you may be out of luck - she prefers the distinguished palate of first and business class passengers, and only on flights between Hong Kong and destinations in the UK.
Created with Hong Kong Beer Co, the beer contains an east-meets-west combination of ingredients designed to add 'rich textural properties'.
Unusually, it contains 'dragon eye' fruit - or longan - so called as it resembles an eyeball when peeled - together with a Northwest Territories honey and Fuggle, a revered hop used in traditional British ales.
The airline claims the beer has been specially crafted through a combination of science and traditional brewing methods, aromas and necessary carbonation to make it taste full-flavoured at altitude.
The beer has been monikered after Cathay Pacific's first aircraft, a Douglas DC-3, which flew passengers around the Hong Kong region in the 1940s and 50s.
A spokesperson from Cathay Pacific said: "Nobody has ever tried to improve the taste of beer at altitude. That seemed like a great opportunity for us to help out beer-loving passengers travel well."
