More wet weather is set to hit Queanbeyan early Wednesday afternoon with another severe thunderstorm and flash flooding warning issued at 12.30pm.

The Bureau of Meteorology’s warning included areas from the South West Slops, Queanbeyan, and parts of the Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, Central West Slopes and Plains, Riverina and Snowy Mountains Forecast Districts.
The warning instructed people to be wary of falling trees and branches, and to keep at least eight metres away from fallen power lines.
Emergency services have cautioned against driving or riding on flooded roads, pedestrians should avoid creeks and storm water drains, and where possible stay indoors.
Heavy rainfall has already submerged areas of the city this week with Allinsure Oval being almost completely flooded on two occasions
Sunny weather dried up the Queanbeyan Tigers’ ground on Tuesday afternoon but the expected heavy rainfall might flood it for a third time in as many days.
Queanbeyan’s SES assisted in 23 callouts on Tuesday following the storms.
The next warning is expected to be issued by 3.30pm.
