The community has until April 7 to comment on the draft brand but around 67 per cent of those who cast their vote in our straw poll said they did not like it compared to the 29 per cent who did.
Around 3 per cent selected the “other” option, with one voter preferring the letters to be capitalised.
Comments on the poll and on the Queanbeyan Age’s Facebook page suggested the branding was a waste of ratepayer’s money, but council administrator Tim Overall said the project was funded by the NSW Government’s $5 million merger fund.
“Which was designed to assist with tasks such as this,” Mr Overall said.
Only 116 votes had been cast before Wednesday.
