Anzac Day dawn service in Queanbeyan

The city of Queanbeyan RSL sub branch and Queanbeyan Legacy will hold a dawn and mid-morning march on Tuesday to commemorate Anzac Day.

The dawn march will commence in front of the RSL Club on Crawford Street at 5.30am and proceed along that street toward Monaro Street, ending at the Cenotaph on Lowe Street.

At the conclusion of the services, the marches will then head back to the RSL along the same route.

The mid-morning march will be held at 10.20am.

Road closures will be in place from 5am to 6.15am and 9am to 11.30am for the following:

  • The full width of Monaro Street between Crawford and Lowe Streets 
  • Farrer Place between Lowe Street and Cameron Road 
  • Crawford Street between Rutledge and Monaro Streets 
  • Lowe Street south bound from Monaro Street and Lowe Street car park entrance and Lowe Street north bound between Monaro and Cooma Streets.

The Jerrabomberra Hotel will host its own dawn service at the permanent memorial stone in the carpark at the Jerrabomberra Shops. The car park on the western side of the hotel will be closed for the event.

Rotary Jerrabomberra will host a barbecue following the service.
