This year is both the 50 year anniversary of the 1967 referendum and 25 years since the historic Mabo decision.
The Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council hopes it will be the biggest walk yet, with about 1000 people expected.
Students from across the region have been busy sorting banners, ready to take part in the march.
Queanbeyan High School principal Jennifer Green said it was an important day.
“It is our opportunity to say we are one community and we pay our respect to our Aboriginal community,” she said.
The march will began at 10.30am, starting at Trinculo Place (Ray Morton Park) walking across Queens Bridge, along Monaro Street and into Queanbeyan Park (Corner of Lowe and Campbell Street).
