Tenille Vaughn was born and bred in Queanbeyan and now with a daughter of her own wants to see more family-friendly spaces across the region.

The 25 year old is a loving single mum to her five-year-old daughter and has worked hard to provide a great life for her.
If elected, she will lobby for safer spaces for children to play and for more equipment and amenities for families.
In addition to that Tenille wants the future council to deliver safer pedestrian access on major roads, making crossings more visible and ensuring council works with the NSW government to keep children safe at school crossings.
“I want to make a difference in our community," she said.
“We don’t have as much experience as a lot of other people running, but I think that’s a good thing. We bring something fresh to the table."
She and fellow candidates on the Group I ticket are supportive of the Ellerton Drive Extension.
“We want to get that ball rolling,” she said. “I know a lot of people are for and against; it is a big debate.
“I think it will make life easier with the traffic flow. Googong is expanding a lot and I think we need infrastructure there for people to get to work and schooling.”
Ms Vaughan is also a supporter of a cinema in the district and feels it would be an asset for families.
Beyond that, she hopes the council will focus on supporting more family friendly events and celebrations to bring people across the large local government area together.
