They tell you life begins at 20, then 30, then 40, then before you know it, you have spent the last 30 or more years working hard and can’t believe that you are near the age of retirement.
However, what does this mean? What impacts will this have on you financially, physically and mentally? Why stop at all if you think you can keep going?
Perhaps you have considered the idea of just cutting back a bit and easing into the life of retirement.
If you are anything like my in-laws and parents, they enjoy socialising, exercising and keeping themselves mentally active.
Yes, they also travel a lot and why shouldn’t they, they’ve earned it.
It’s this recreational travel that has opened their eyes to new experiences and then in turn inspired and allowed them to take on a new challenge or hobby.
My father-in-law is a now a beekeeper and regularly visits the shed – as he consistently calls it – to craft beautiful beehives and educates his grandchildren on the effects bees have on the environment.
They are his new passion.
Do you have a hobby or an interest that you are passionate about?
Are they STEAM based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Maths)?
Well, SWISH Education is the place for you.
We are always looking for people with passionate interests and skills to pass knowledge to the next generation.
We run imaginative, engaging and fun school holiday workshops for primary-school aged-children; so Kinder to Year 6.
Our workshops offer these children the opportunity to participate in fun programs that have been developed to capture their imagination and encourage them to extend their thinking process.
SWISH programs run every 10 weeks for the majority of school holidays.
Our programs like Engineering Enrico – A Bridge Too Far or Indiana Jones – Escape from SWISH Island, are designed to be hands on, experimental, team building and most of all, fun.
No one wants to be writing and writing during the break, they get enough of that at school.
We want our students to use their hands, get dirty, be amazed and realise that FAIL-ure (First Attempt In Learning) is an option.
If you find the above to be appealing, I encourage you to give us a call on 0477158983 or visit our website www.swisheducation.edu.au.
Do you think you could take on a new challenge and teach your skills to the next generation of eager minds?
