The recently-announced $25 million redevelopment of the Braidwood Hospital MPS is planned to commence in late 2018.

It will incorporate an expanded emergency department, new acute-care beds, an inpatient ward, staff quarters, expanded community services, and up to 37 high-care units.

The developers of a new housing model in Braidwood believe this will make the town a new hub for aged care in the Queanbeyan-Palerang area.
