The National Arboretum Canberra is a 618 acre site in Molonglo Valley.

It was created after the 2001 and 2003 bushfires burned about a third of the Himalayan Cedar forest, and the commercial Radiata Pine plantation was burned out.

It now features 94 forests of rare, endangered and symbolic trees from around Australia and the world.
