Demand was so high the society needed to contact members to replenish the show with works after they ran out after three days.
Almost 400 works were displayed in the tent art gallery erected in City Walk in Canberra.
Proceeds from the show went towards motor neurone disease research.
QAS member Andrew Smith’s painting sold for $1600 and Wendy and George Young raised $910 through the charity book stall run in conjunction with the art show.
The QAS Members Painters Exhibition opened on Sunday and is showing 119 works.
