In the early game it looked as though the St George side was generally stronger. Car parking was at a premium around the grounds whit a large crowd of mostly players’relatives and friends coming to watch the boys doing their best to secure spots in the junior grade teams of these two NRL Clubs.
The games were not widely advertised and there was little information from the clubs about who was playing. Goulburn had several junior Stockmen players trying for spots in the Canberra side. They included; Bailey Lanham, Menker Lowah and Jacob Waters are trialling for the U16 team and Joey Roberts, Mitch Atkinson, Angus Marshall, Christian Moss and Isaac Lanham are trialling for U18’s SG Ball team.
The Goulburn Junior Stockmen operated the canteen during the event as a fundraiser for the 2018 season. The club is looking for players to nominate for the 20018 competition and registration is now officially open.
