The Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council will talk with Bathurst and Mudgee in their bid to bring NRL games back to the Canberra Raiders' spiritual home, Seiffert Oval.

At their meeting on Wednesday night, the council decided to speak to their counterparts in both Bathurst and Mudgee to find out what they need to do to bring Seiffert up to scratch.
Penrith have a multi-year deal to play games in Bathurst, while St George Illawarra will play games in Mudgee for the next two years.
The Raiders played their home games at Seiffert from their inaugural season in 1982 up until the end of 1989.
Raiders chief executive Don Furner visited Bega on Thursday as he looks into playing a trial game there in 2019 or 2020.
He also met with NSW member of parliament Andrew Constance as he ramps up his bid for funding to build their centre of excellence in Braddon.
There has been a push by councillor Kenrick Winchester to pursue major upgrades at Seiffert and attract the Raiders back home. The oval will need significant work.
