Googong is producing a consistent bite of yellows and redfins; cod are also on the chew with larger plastics and swim baits working best.
It's shaping up nicely for the Canberra Native Cup
Lake Burley Griffin is also a must visit spot with good size yellow belly, chunky reddies and a few cod up to 70cm having been landed lately.
All this action shows it's shaping up nicely for the Canberra Native Cup!
Ginniderra is also producing the goods – reports of cod on the surface at night and good schools of both redfin and yellow belly in the early morning.
Small cranks and minnows are doing the damage.
Yerrabi is coming up trumps with bass-sized surface lures catching both cod and yellows.
Lake Tuggeranong is as consistent as everywhere else at the moment, and spinnerbaits are working well in this area.
On the coast, Eden is the pick for chasing marlin.
There have been plenty of dolphin fish around lobster traps off Tuross and a few around the FADS too. Montague is fishing well for Kings as long as there is some current (no flow, no go!).
Whiting fishing along the South Coast remains good in most estuaries, and some nice duskies have been a pleasant by-catch in Tuross, Wallaga Lake and the Clyde.
