The NSW Rural Fire Service have declared a total fire ban across much of south-eastern NSW.
There will be a severe fire danger rating across the region due to hot and windy weather.
During a total fire ban no fire may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended.
Sunday will see vigorous west to northwesterly winds averaging up to 65 kilometres per hour.
The temperature will reach 34 degrees during the day but will then drop into the evening with winds expected to slow later in the day too.
The SES advises people to keep vehicles away from trees during the high winds and to secure any loose items. Damaged power lines and fallen trees should be reported immediately.
Any fire activity in the region can be monitored through the RFS website.
All fires should be reported immediately to 000.
