The new aged care home will incorporate two residential levels with additional basement car parking.
Meanwhile, the planning panel will meet again early next month to make a determination on another Warrigal Care's service expansion proposal (DA), allowing construction to commence of its state-of-the-art, $60 million retirement living and aged care service centre at Shellharbour.
Warrigal Care CEO Mark Sewell said the new aged care facilities would improve aged care services in the region as well as creating new jobs.
"We are committed to our promise of expanding our services both in Queanbeyan and Shellharbour. "It's an extremely busy time for us, but we are excited about creating new opportunities for Warrigal Care and its communities".
Warrigal Care is a major employer in south-eastern NSW, with already around 1,000 staff and volunteers providing services to over 2,000 older people in NSW each year. These new expanded services will create at least another 200 new jobs in these regions.
For over 40 years, Warrigal Care has been developing a range of different services and now provides more residential care, retirement villages and home care services than any other provider across the Shellharbour region.
