About 50mm of rain did fall on the region, mostly during the night on Friday, with conditions easing on Saturday afternoon.

Queanbeyan’s State Emergency Service volunteers attended 18 callouts, mainly to deal with leaky roofs. 

The ACT SES had 157 requests for assistance, again with the majority being for leakages. 

While most of us tried to avoid the wet weather, for outdoor pets and livestock that wasn’t an easy option.

These friendly sheep were almost begging their owner, Carwoola resident Nadia Nardini, for some warmth indoors.

Unfortunately that sheep hasn’t sailed, with rain expected well into next week.
