Freedom of Entry March: As part of celebrating 75 years since its commissioning, on July 1, Queanbeyan will bestow trust and confidence in HMAS Harman through the Freedom of Entry March. Everyone is encouraged to line the streets, particularly at the intersection of Crawford and Monaro Streets. From this vantage point the Navy will be stopped by the NSW Police Force before the mayor will have the honour of inspecting them. The march will then proceed into Queen Elizabeth II Park for performances from the Royal Navy Band and Queanbeyan City Pipes and Drums along with food and coffee stalls. The march begins at 10.30am from the Memorial Gardens on Antill Street. Find all the details on the council’s website.
