Three people have died following a two-vehicle collision south of Queanbeyan overnight.

Just before 11.30pm (Wednesday 18 July 2018), emergency services were called to the Monaro Highway at Michelago, approximately 40km south of Queanbeyan, following reports a Citroen C5 and Ford Falcon had collided head-on.
As a result of the crash, one of the vehicles caught fire. The Citroen caught alight. The driver and a passenger died at the scene. They are yet to be formally identified, but are believed to be a man and a girl.
A second passenger, an 11-year-old boy, was found with minor injuries. He was taken to Canberra Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
The male driver and sole occupant of the Ford, also died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
Officers from Monaro Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Monaro Highway has been reopened after being closed for a number of hours.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
