One of the high ticket items, likely to attract considerable interest from warbird enthusiasts and military historians is a painting by noted local artist Ken Kenchington, whose work is influenced by his childhood first hand memories of the Battle of Britain during World War Two.
The painting Ken Kenchington is putting up for auction is titles Here comes trouble and features a RAF Spitfire peeling away from a Messerschmitt Bf 110 heavy fighter at high altitude during the autumn of 1944.
The artist will also be at the auction and for an additional $100 will sign and dedicate the back of the painting to the purchaser.
This is a unique piece of art and should appeal to an avid collector, who will notice the fine detail included by the former RAF aircraft engineer.
There will be lots of other items at the auction which is expected to offer something for everyone. The doors of the Tarago Town Hall will be open at 8am, so prospective bidder can inspect the offering and the auction is expected to start at 10am.
Items expected to be included: antiques, furniture, estate jewellery, militaria, garaganalia, china and other collectables as well as practical items for the home or even office.
