Police and family have serious concerns for Douglas Nelson, aged 78, as he's believed to suffer from dementia.
Inquiries suggest his last known location was the Queanbeyan area on Friday.
Police believe he may have travelled between the Canberra, Queanbeyan and Yass areas in a 1995 Toyota Land cruiser troop carrier.
Mr Nelson is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 165 to 170cm tall, with a medium build, fair complexion, grey hair and brown eyes. He lives at Swansea on the Central Coast but was reported missing on the far South Coast.
The Toyota Land cruiser is described as being white with a black bull bar, roof racks, with large off-road tires, carrying NSW registration TOP 887.
Anyone who sees Mr Nelson or his vehicle, or has information about his whereabouts, is urged to come forward.
