Ricky Stuart mural: Painting has started on the portrait mural of Ricky Stuart on the Bicentennial Hall. Weather permitting, we expect to be able to see the completed mural sometime this week. You can find it at the back of the Bicentennial Hall and The Q, at the end of Blacksmiths Lane. As part of this project, students from both the Queanbeyan high schools have been involved in a creative mentor workshop, run by two local businesses The Hive and Copperhead Screenprinting, learning skills in both screenprinting and mural installations.

Road Rules Awareness Week: This week (April 8-14) is Road Rules Awareness Week. The week aims to enhance the safety of all road users by improving our knowledge of the NSW Road Rules. Do you know if parking is permitted where there is a continuous yellow edge line on the road? When do drivers need to comply with reduced speed limits in roadwork zones? When can a motorcyclist lane filter and when can drivers perform a u-turn? Are learner and provisional drivers ever allowed to use their mobile phone while driving? Find the answers to these questions and more by following NSW Road Safety on social media.
Waste collection on Good Friday: Easter is almost here and waste collection will be changed for a number of locations on Good Friday (April 19).
