Well, Channel 10's Dancing With The Stars may be nearing its conclusion, but Stars of Queanbeyan Dance for Cancer, which is similar to the television show, is looking for contestants.
The event is an initiative of Cancer Council NSW, which funds more world-class cancer research projects than any other cancer charities.
Cancer Council NSW's community relations coordinator Luke Macdonald said 10 Queanbeyan business owners or local legends would be paired up with young and enthusiastic dance schools to learn a dance over a six-week period.
The four categories the participants will be judged on are the best fundraiser, the judge's choice, best costume and the people's choice.
"The event is a chance for like-minded and motivated community members to come together in a fun and entertaining way," Macdonald said.
"It is a great way for them to show their support for building a cancer-free future."
The event will be held on Friday June 14 at the Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre.
Macdonald said the concept grew out of the ancer Council's northern office with Stars of Coffs Harbour in 2010.
"Since then, the concept has become a juggernaut with over 30 Stars events held across NSW every year," he said.
The event is a chance for like-minded and motivated community members to come together in a fun and entertaining way.

"However, this is the first time Queanbeyan will be having an event."
The stars will be expected to fundraise a minimum of $2500 and learn an exciting dance routine and perform it with their paired professional.
For the professionals, they will need to teach a dance routine with their star and perform it at the event and organise performance costumes.
Both parties will need to promote event ticket sales through their networks, attend the launch, be active on Facebook so they can share Stars of Queanbeyan posts, provide a biography, portrait photo and their business logo and most importantly, have fun.
The launch is expected to be held on the first Wednesday of May, but will be confirmed once all the contestants have joined.
