Queanbeyan River shared path bridge
Construction has begun on the shared path bridge for cyclists and pedestrians over the Queanbeyan River, located next to the low-level road crossing. This will link in to the Queanbeyan River Walk, which will be extended through the caravan park as part of the ongoing transformation of the CBD.

Bungendore footpath improvements
The final stage of the Bungendore Town Centre improvements project is almost complete, with the remaining funds being used to improve footpath connections around the town. We have recently completed a footpath along the well-worn track on Malbon Street adjacent to the Bungendore Primary School, which ties into existing footpaths. The final footpath upgrade is between Ellendon Street and the new premises for the Bungendore YMCA.
Queanbeyan CBD Spatial Master Plan
We had a display set up last week in Riverside Plaza with the new Queanbeyan CBD Spatial Master Plan. The last masterplan for Queanbeyan was developed in 2009 and the new plan considers the challenges that the CBD currently faces and proposes solutions over a 10-year period of transformation. The stall was a great opportunity to show the community the ideas and we have received lots of positive feedback and interest.
The plans are available online at yourvoice.qprc.nsw.gov.au where you can provide your thoughts.
It considers potential council and private developments; pedestrian and cyclist connections; streetscape improvements; traffic flow; activation of Queanbeyan's laneways; constructing public domain spaces; links between the CBD, river and park space; and consolidating parking into decked car parks.
Property and rating data services
We will be moving to a new system that handles our property and rating data, consolidating duplicate but different systems from the former councils.
To allow us to get the new system ready, a number of online services will be out of action between Wednesday, June 5 and Tuesday, June 11. There will also be a period where our office-based staff will need to process transactions and applications manually. This is likely to create some delays with our processing times. We appreciate your patience. Updates will be posted on our website: www.qprc.nsw.gov.au
