On Saturday June 15 from 6pm, the Parkside Tennis Academy at Queanbeyan Park Tennis Club, 100 Campbell Street, will be hosting 'Night Vision', a glow-in-the-dark tennis party. It's believed to be the first time the event - which is suitable for ages 6 to 12 (but, let's admit, would be fun at any age!) - will have run in the region. Organisers say that greats of the game, such as Roger Federer and Serena Williams, have had a go at glow-in-the-dark.
About 40 children from the Canberra/Queanbeyan area are expected at this unique event (the maximum capacity for the glow-in-the-dark courts). Parkside Tennis Academy will run teens/adults events later this year, but are taking bookings for private events: birthday or staff parties, or team building. Children should be dressed to play in white- or bright-coloured clothing, which will glow in the dark. They will be participating in fun, tennis-inspired party games run by professional coaches. The night will also have pizza, party food, drinks and music on offer.
- Tickets: $35. Book: parksidetennis.com.au/nightvision
