Qeanbeyan Yowies coach Peter Herak felt his side was on the back foot from the get go.
"We weren't ready tonight," Herak said.
"We didn't finish and execute very well and that really hurt us tonight.
"We missed a lot of shots and it's difficult winning games if you don't make them."
Herak felt the reasons they lost was due to the opposition's pressure and missed free throws.
"The other team's pressure was really good and that makes it difficult as well and we didn't handle it very well," he said.
"The missed free throws which were very costly.
"You need to make those.
"They're free. No one's in front of you, so you should be making those."
The good news is that practice can help some of the problems.
"Players can get out and do a little bit of extra free throw practice.
"That's someone you can do by yourself.
"You don't need to do that at training all the time.
"I could spend hours doing free throws, but it's not the best way to spend time."
However, there were some positive aspects of the loss.
"I think we did a really good job of breaking down their press.
"We struggled the last time we played them, so I think we did a good job this time."
The Queanbeyan Yowies currently sit seventh on the ladder.
