Police have charged a man and woman over the death of a 56-year-old man in Bungendore earlier this year.
About 7.25pm on Saturday, February 23, NSW Ambulance paramedics attended a home at Hope Drive in Bungendore, where they treated an unconscious man who was reported to have fallen.
Earlier today police arrested a 21-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman at a Bungendore home. The man has been charged with manslaughter and the woman with being an accessory after the fact of manslaughter.
Police will allege a fight took place between the two men that day in February and that the younger man assaulted the older man, which resulted in the latter falling backwards and hitting his head.
Police will also allege the 48-year-old woman has been complicit in providing authorities with incorrect information.
Both have been refused bail and will appear before Queanbeyan Local Court on Thursday.
