The Championships will run on the weekends of October 26-27 and November 2-3 and Queanbeyan Golf Club captain Gail Goiser said there would be at least 70 participants fighting for the trophy.
The Championship entries are coming in well and we have more than 70 so far with early bird entries closing on Friday, October 18," Goiser said.
"We take entries in the last week prior to the competition, but this year they will pay extra.
"Hopefully, all entries will be in by the 18th.
"Championship entries are expected to be higher than last year which attracted just under 140 players."
The Championships last year saw Lachlan Tisma crowned as the eventual winner.
"He had rounds of 73,70,67,74 for total 284," Goiser said.
"After his 67 on the third day, it was hard for anyone to catch him on the final day and championship was his by a comfortable margin."
Queanbeyan Golf Club chief executive officer Tony Treeve said in preparation for the event, renovations were being undertaken at the venue.
"In terms of the course renovations project, we are currently rebuilding all five of our par three teeing grounds," Treeve said.
"This project will be completed just in time for round one."
Early bird entry fees are $95 while the late entry fees are $120.
