Detectives from the Logan Drug and Firearm Team are appealing for public help to find two people who threw the bag of drugs out the window of a hire car.
The incident happened when police saw a Toyota Camry sedan, with registration plates 298-YMS driving fast through Loganlea.
The vehicle was being driven by woman and had a male front seat passenger.
Police followed the vehicle to the Logan Motorway where they saw the man throw a blue sports bag out the window and down an embankment.
The vehicle continued to travel at high speed west bound on the motorway, where it was last seen by police.
Police found methylamphetamine, or ice, in the bag.
Officers spoke to two men at the side of the motorway, but they were released.
Investigations continue, with police appealing for anyone with any information in relation to the Toyota Camry to immediately contact them.
They are also after any motorists travelling in the area who may have dash-cam footage of the Toyota Camry.
The man and woman are described as Caucasian.
