Upgrades to Braidwood Recreational Ground: Council has received a one-off mining contribution of over $450,000 through the Planning Agreement for the Dargues Creek Mine. We are now able to prepare for additional work on the Braidwood Recreational Ground. The work will upgrade existing facilities and includes piping the creek to allow for a future skatepark. Other work planned for the Rec Ground includes levelling of playing fields and upgrading the irrigation system, a slight relocation of the football field, new goal posts, relocation of the spectator fence, new cricket practice nets and a slight relocation of the car park.

Local Government Excellence Award for Treasure Trail: Congratulations to our fantastic Tourism, Placemaking, and Bushfire Recovery teams for their work on the Treasure Trail. The campaign provided business and destination marketing, marketing training assistance, small business grants and created promotional video and social media content for a wide variety of businesses and regional locations.
Turallo Creek Management Plan: The Turallo Creek Management Plan was adopted at last week's Council meeting and will review current management of the creek and provide a planning framework that will prioritise maintenance over the next five years. The plan covers a 1.4km section of Turallo Creek between Tarago Road Bridge and Turallo Terrace in Bungendore. The plan prioritises removal of woody weeds, including willows, in the three-metre area of bank surrounding the waterline called the riparian zone. Once this work is complete, options for further restoration of the reserve will be explored to reduce erosion, sedimentation and nutrient loading in this area.
