A man in his 70s from Yass Valley LGA has died and a total of 218 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours across the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD).

The numbers are down form 300 on Sunday, January 24 as the region continues to see cases stabalise.
Locally, 19 cases are in Goulburn Mulwaree LGA, 121 have been recorded in Queanbeyan Palerlang LGA. six are in Upper Lachlan LGA and 14 in Yass Valley LGA.
There are currently 3750 total active cases in the district, of which 432 are in Goulburn Mulwaree, 77 in Upper Lachlan, 113 in Yass Valley and 1196 in Queanbeyan Palerang.
It is worth noting that positive Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) results are included in these numbers.
18 people are in hospital with two in ICU.
NSW sits at a 93.6 percent double vaccination rate for those aged 16 and over.
