Each year the society calls for entrants to put together an exhibition in City Walk, Canberra that supports a charity.
This year the society have chosen to support fighting motor neurone disease.
In previous years the society was able to use provided tents and other facilities but they were informed at the last minute this would not be possible.
The society then pulled off the impressive effort of raising $5000 in under two weeks thanks to donations from the ACT government, Queanbeyan Leagues Club and others.
The exhibition will be opened by ACT MLA Gordon Ramsay and will feature 350 works from artists across the country.
The opening will take place at 12.30pm on Saturday 23 September in City Walk, Canberra and works will be on display for a week.
